RSPB Bempton Cliffs

The day after Filey I had a few hours at Bempton, were there had been reports of a Pallas’s Warbler, it took a while before it showed itself and it was all so brief. Other highlights today were a couple of Fieldfare, Gannet and Tree Sparrow

I then moved on to South Landing, due to the reports of a Dusky Warbler, I never saw it, missed out on a few of these this year

Birds Seen : Blackbird, Blue Tit, Carrion Crow, Chaffinch, Fieldfare, Gannet, Goldfinch, Great Tit, Pallas’s Warbler, Rock Dove/Feral Pigeon, Tree Sparrow, Wren (12)

Filey

A couple of days out on the coast with my first stop at Filey, hoping to see the Snow Buntings that had been seen here for a few days, but it wasn’t to be. The highlights today for me were Great Northern Diver, Kestrel, Oystercatcher, Shag, Sparrowhawk and Turnstone

RSPB Old Moor

A major day at Old Moor today, but all so brief, with a first on site of a Yellow-browed Warbler, located in the children’s playground the day before, still on site when I got there. With a wait of about 20 minutes before it finally showed, lasting all but a couple of minutes, and views that didn’t give a photo opportunity, before it decided to fly, wasn’t seen again that day.

Other highlights that day were Great Spotted Woodpecker, Kingfisher, and Redwing,
