Cromwell Bottom

A local Nature Reserve which sadly I neglected over a number of years, hopefully I now tend to put that right.. I was greeted by a friendly Robin as I made way around to the feeding station, and of course I had to stop and take a few photos, they are always very obliging. At the feeding station were Great Tit, Blue Tit, Nuthatch, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Bullfinch, Stock Dove, Chaffinch, and Coal Tit.

I walked on towards the river and stopped along the bridge from where I saw a single Dipper and a pair of Kingfishers.

On then towards the viewing platform were I made another stop and here I found Coot, a single Grey Heron, a calling Little Grebe, and a single Chiffchaff in a nearby tree.

Cromwell Bottom is over a large area and I’m looking forward to coming back and finding other Nature areas here, a link to Cromwell Bottom can be found in the Yorkshire’s what’s about links to the right side or PRESS
