A warm sunny day couldn’t be missed so I headed down to Adwick Washlands again to try to catch up with a couple of birds I missed out on last week.
Egyptian Goose, one I’d missed before, was soon found on arrival mixed in with Canadas and Greylags, the Pink footed Goose took a bit longer but was located further down the reserve,Ringed Plovers however were missed again. Other birds about were still plenty of Redshank and Avocets along with a couple of Oystercatchers, a soaring Common Buzzard, a few Black tailed Godwits, Gadwall, Mallard, Teal, Wigeon, Shoveler, and Pochard
A couple of butterflies species were on the wing, Brimstone and Peacock but no photos
