A Muddy Day

Stainforth was my first  port of call for a certain long staying Rough Legged Buzzard and a very muddy walk to the view point. After about a thirty minute wait and most of the time was distant, however I did manage to pick up on the key differences between this and Common Buzzard (Black tipped white tail, paler head)

Over birds highlights here were Green Woodpecker, Kestrel,  and Fieldfare

After the Rough legged Buzzard I decided to stop off at Old Moor on the way back home where I got great views of Bearded Tit and Reed Buntings down on the Reedbed Trial.
